Youth Access Worker

You will be the first point of contact for young people and their families entering the service. This role is all about creating an excellent rapport, identifying the support the young person needs and collating the initial information. You will be in a broad role that covers intake assessment, brief psychoeducation sessions, care coordination and assistance to the Clinicians. On offer is:

Reporting to the Centre Manager, your role will include:
- Assisting young people to access services and providing coordination of care to meet individual needs;
- Developing a clear understanding of your clients through case formulation and assessment;
- Collaborating with the team to implement access to information and a range of culturally-sensitive activities;
- Conducting structured/ unstructured intake assessments and initial risk assessments;
- Coordinating services with other allied health services in the region;
- Participating in community events and advocacy that build the profile and accessibility of the centre; and most importantly
- Making a significant impact on the mental health and wellbeing of young people in your region!
About you:
To be successful in the role, you will have a mix of qualifications and experience from any allied health background and ideally have a background in providing mental health support and/or working with young people. This role would be best suited for someone finishing or has recently finished their Tertiary studies. What you’ll gain:
