Youth Access Worker

This role is all about creating an excellent rapport, identifying the support the young person needs and collating the initial information. You will be in a broad role that covers intake assessment, brief psychoeducation sessions, care coordination and assistance to the Clinicians. On offer is:

About the role:
 
Reporting to the Centre Manager, your role will include:
  • Assisting young people to access services and providing coordination of care to meet individual needs;
  • Developing a clear understanding of your clients through case formulation and assessment;
  • Collaborating with the team to implement access to information and a range of culturally-sensitive activities;
  • Conducting structured/ unstructured intake assessments and initial risk assessments;
  • Coordinating services with other allied health services in the region;
  • Participating in community events and advocacy that build the profile and accessibility of the centre; and most importantly
  • Making a significant impact on the mental health and wellbeing of young people in your region!
About you:

To be successful in the role, you will have a mix of qualifications and experience from any allied health background and ideally have a background in providing mental health support and/or working with young people. This role would be best suited for someone finishing or has recently finished their Tertiary studies.
