Reporting through to the Farm Manager, you will be responsible for supervising daily activities on an egg producing farm. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Farm Manager in implementing, developing, and monitoring systems;
- Maintaining and operating farm equipment effectively;
- Providing clear direction to the team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations;
- Coordinating and scheduling activities for optimal productivity and maintaining quality control;
- Maintaining and monitoring livestock health including administering treatments and checking for a range of health issues;
- Participating in recruitment of new team members as well as supporting induction, training and performance management; and
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
To be successful in the role, you will have experience in a similar role within the agricultural industry, a record of your positive contributions to business growth and a demonstrated dedication to animal welfare. You will also possess:
- Developing leadership and communication skills;
- Intermediate computer skills;
- Proven ability to manage and optimise team performance; and
- Familiarity with relevant legislation and codes of practice.
