Reporting to the Farm Manager, you will be responsible for rearing Day Old Chicks and producing the highest quality Pullet for transition to the main Farm. Your responsibilities will include:
- Rearing/growing day old chicks in a productive, safe and welfare oriented environment;
- Supporting the Farm Manager in day-to-day operations;
- Contributing to the strategic direction and business management;
- Monitoring and maintaining a high standard of livestock production;
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies;
- Participating in audits and reporting operational matters promptly;
- Monitoring animal health and administering treatments as directed; and
- Assisting in team management, recruitment and training.
To be successful in the role, you will have proven supervisory experience (3-5 years), a record of your positive contributions to business growth and a demonstrated dedication to animal welfare. You will also possess:
- The ability to manage resources within policy guidelines and budget expectations;
- Strong decision making, interpersonal and communication skills; and
- Basic computer skills.
