About the role:

As a Mental Health Access Administrator, you will provide welcoming and professional access to mental health supports and play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the Medicare Mental Health Centre (MMHC). Your people skills will help the MMHC team create a Centre that supports individuals from all backgrounds to receive comprehensive mental health services. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the Centre Manager/Clinical Lead in implementing the MMHC service delivery model;
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team who provide integrated, evidence-based mental health services;
  • Helping maintain effective operations and compliance for the MMHC;
  • Providing welcoming, culturally sensitive front‑of‑office and reception support;
  • Handling phone enquiries and assisting with general client communication;
  • Coordinating and documenting telehealth appointments and supporting client assessment processes;
  • Maintaining accurate client records, reporting data and staff reminders/alerts; and
  • Assisting with general administration duties including purchasing, invoicing, budget tracking and audit support.
About you:

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have had experience working in Mental Health service delivery, but this is not essential as training will be provided. You will have experience in rural and remote communities, excellent communication skills and experience working with people from diverse backgrounds. You will also require a current driver's licence.
