Our client has been supporting the gas and mining industries across Australia for more than 15 years. They’ve become a trusted partner to these sectors, delivering services that balance operational efficiency with genuine care for people. Due to the ongoing growth, they are seeking a Finance Manager to join their team.
About the role:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and being the primary point for all reporting within the organisation;
- Managing month-end processes,
- Completing BAS and FBT obligations;
- Preparing monthly invoicing for camps and site offices;
- Managing the extensive depreciation schedule;
- Working with your team to ensure accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll are done in full, on time; and
- Preparing and monitoring weekly cash flow reports.
To be successful in the role, you will have practical accounting experience and be able to understand and generate information-rich reporting and have high level Excel skills. You will be approachable and able to communicate effectively at all levels, helping operational staff understand financial information and explain your reporting through to management and your colleagues. You will also contribute positively to a balanced and collaborative team environment via answering and assisting with any queries that come through from your managerial colleagues.
