Our client, a leading Toowoomba professional services firm, is seeking a Litigation Lawyer to join their team. This role will see the successful candidate working closely with experienced Litigation Solicitors, as well as Commercial Law and Estate Planning teams, to deliver high-quality, tailored legal services to clients across a broad range of litigation matters. The position offers exposure to diverse and complex cases, with a focus on client engagement and collaborative outcomes.

About the role:

As a Litigation Lawyer, your responsibilities will include:
  • Working on property and business litigation cases;
  • Managing a diverse caseload of litigation matters from commencement through to resolution;
  • Providing strategic legal advice across a range of dispute areas;
  • Drafting and reviewing pleadings, affidavits, contracts and legal correspondence;
  • Conducting legal research and developing effective case strategies;
  • Liaising with clients, counsel, courts and external stakeholders;
  • Preparing matters for mediation, arbitration and court proceedings;
  • Representing clients in court;
  • Negotiating settlements and resolving disputes in a commercial manner;
  • Collaborating with internal teams on cross-disciplinary matters;
  • Maintaining accurate file management and ensuring regulatory compliance; and
  • Contributing to client relationship management and business development.
About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 5 years’ post-admission experience, with a focus on litigation. You will demonstrate a high level of professionalism and personal presentation, along with the confidence to manage client relationships and provide clear, strategic legal advice. You will be a proactive and resilient individual, capable of handling a diverse caseload while maintaining a focus on delivering premium client service. The ability to work collaboratively across teams, including Commercial Law and Estate Planning, will be highly regarded.
