Our client is a recognised food production facility on the Darling Downs. The site is part of a larger group and supplies up to 140 tonnes per day of high-quality product to numerous industries including airlines, cruise ships, hospitals and other food manufacturers. The business has a focus on production, quality, food safety and a positive team culture.
About the role:Reporting to the Production Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Getting product in and processing product through the pasteurising system;
- Operating and programming the semi-automated production system;
- Implementing the production schedule along with supervisors and ensuring timely daily startup;
- Collecting samples for quality testing;
- Monitoring quality, food safety, waste, yield, downtime and KPIs, including daily reporting;
- Identifying, diagnosing and resolving operational and manufacturing issues;
- Completing production reports and supporting effective shift change-over communication; and
- Planning and actioning daily cleaning requirements (CIP).
To be successful in this role, you will need production experience, problem-solving skills and the ability to think ahead. You will also need sound computer and communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work to deadlines as part of a team. Training will be provided and a pre-employment medical is required.
