5 Reasons why you should Psych test your candidates

Psychological testing or psychometric testing gives you information that you wouldn't normally get. So why wouldn't you do it? Here are the five main reasons why we think you should do it:

  1. To assess cognitive ability in relation to the job. Does the person have the necessary ability to do the job well? Flipside – really intelligent people won't fit a lot of roles. Horses for courses.
  2. Assess their work ethic.
  3. Assess their attention to detail.
  4. Find out if they are going to get along with your team or if they are going to clash.
  5. Are they open to new ideas and new ways of doing things or are they "closed"?  

A good psych test will give you this and more. Critical information that you need to not only make your hiring decision but for the ongoing success of your business. Yes, it's about the brain but really, it's a no-brainer.
