About the role:

As the Farm Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire operation, ensuring its efficient and effective functioning. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing a diverse team and upholding a positive and productive working environment;
  • Overseeing one of the largest Free Range Farms in the country, maintaining a focus on production efficiency;
  • Maintaining high standards of animal welfare and hygiene within the site;
  • Managing and supervising systems to enhance farm productivity, ensuring the seamless integration of technology into daily operations;
  • Being actively involved in day-to-day farm operations and in any future growth developments;
  • Upholding high standards of farm presentation and meeting audit requirements; and
  • Being on call (rostered amongst your team) to respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, demonstrating a commitment to the well-being of your animals.
About you:

To be successful in the role, you will have proven experience in farm management (3-5 years), a record of your positive contributions to business growth and a demonstrated dedication to animal welfare. You will also possess:
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills;
  • Ability to assess variables, follow procedures and make informed decisions;
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills;
  • High levels of attention to detail; and
  • Willingness to live on farm in the accommodation provided.
