About the role:
  
Reporting through to the Office Manager and the Company Directors, this is a hands-on role where you will be delivering high quality civil engineering services to Councils and private enterprises. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing projects and design tasks, ensuring delivery and completion of all project requirements;
  • Overseeing the creation of project designs and documentation to the client’s satisfaction;
  • Providing timely advice and technical information to internal teams, ensuring a streamlined project process with minimal disruptions;
  • Working closely with design teams to ensure the highest level of services;
  • Monitoring and reporting on project progress to relevant stakeholders, including identifying issues or risks;
  • Developing fee proposals / cost estimates for all proposed and additional works, including reviewing subconsultant progress claims against actual performance;
  • Conducting periodic site inspections of construction works and monitoring the performance of all contractors and subcontractors;
  • Administration of construction contracts; and
  • Communicating with external stakeholders to convey key information.
About you:
  
To be successful in the role, you will possess a minimum of a Bachelor level degree in Engineering. You will also ideally have:
  • Knowledge of QUDM, IPWEAQ, AUSTROADS and DTMR guidelines;
  • Knowledge of theory and practice behind planning and design of road systems, hydraulics and hydrology for stormwater design and sewerage and water reticulation;
  • Sound knowledge of construction practices for rural and urban roads and utility infrastructure;
  • Experience in administration of construction contracts;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Sound interpersonal skills and commitment to building and maintaining business relationships.
  • Minimum 7 years of industry experience (5 years relevant Australian experience)
You will be required to have a white card and an unrestricted Driver’s License, as travel to job sites (using company pool vehicles) will be required.
